Hi, I’m Riley

Riley Rawls is the author of Daisy: The Homeschool Kids, her debut novella. She has been writing for three years, and plans to release more in the series in upcoming years. The 16-year-old, Christian author’s main goal in her writing is to make an impact in people’s lives and glorify God through it. She has been homeschooled for most of her life, and juggles writing meaningful stories, playing her beloved instruments, keeping up with her studies, reading dystopian novels, and playing basketball. She’s a Star Wars fanatic, a fan of Casting Crowns, and a lover of all things blue.

Hi there, awesome person! I’m glad you’ve stopped by. If you’re looking to hear more about my quirky writer ways, other random things about me, and what you’ll find on my little corner of the internet, then you’ve come to the right place!

About Me:

I’m a Christian. I’m sixteen years old, and a homeschooled junior.

I’m a writer, an author, a blogger, a reader, and a dreamer. I enjoy journaling, lettering, drawing, painting, and singing (even though I stink at it). I play the piano, the guitar, and I’m *working on* the cello. I love rain, thunderstorms, and gray skies. I’m an introvert and an INFJ. I laugh at absolutely everything. Like, if I don’t laugh, it’s probably not funny. I play basketball. Casting Crowns is my favorite band. My favorite food is crawfish cornbread. I love everything blue and purple. Hyperbole is my favorite word.

My favorite movies are everything Stars Wars, Hunger Games, and How To Train Your Dragon. I also love Mirror Mirror, Princess Bride, Megamind, and Zootopia. My favorite TV shows are Star Wars (The Clone Wars ) & (Rebels), Walker Texas Ranger, Designated Survivor, and When Calls the Heart. The best book series (in my opinion, and if you’ve read them, we’re already friends) are The Homelanders series (Andrew Klavan), The Swipe series (Evan Angler), The Missing series (Margaret Peterson Haddix). I have a million other fandoms, but. I’d ramble on forever, so. We won’t go there 😉

My favorite Bible verse are basically all of Romans 8, Jeremiah 29:11, and Philippians 2:1-11.

I love sushi.

About the Blog:

Balancing a life, school, writing, music, and many other things that are necessities or are important to me gets a little crazy. Ok, maybe insane. But I’m making writing a priority, because that’s what I love to do, and I believe it’s my calling. And more than that, to write for God, and for His glory; to encourage and uplift others. So, the juggling does get stressful. But I work at keeping an organized schedule, and I seek that “peace that surpasses all understanding” from God.

Here on my blog, I’ll be sharing things I’ve learned as a young writer, updates on my writing and publishing journey, snippets of my life, interviews with other lovely writers and bloggers, and the random things I have on my heart to say. So, if any of these topics sound like something you’re interested in, feel free to stick around! Meeting people through blogging is like, the coolest thing in the galaxy.

Let’s Chat!

I want to hear about you guys! Are you a writer? A blogger? A lovely reader? Leave me a comment, a link to your blog, and feel free to shoot me an email before you go!

Yay, a fellow INFJ homeschooler! 😀
I also laugh at everything, it gets a little annoying but my friends like it because I make them look funny. 😛
